Since early childhood, I have dreamed of being a car designer. Every day I'm able to challenge myself and grow is another day living the dream.
I am a senior transportation design student at the University of Cincinnati.
Carroll Shelby once said, "It's a truly lucky man who knows what he wants to do in this world 'cause that man will never work a day in his life. But there are a few, a precious few -- and hell, I don't know if they're lucky or not -- but there are a few people who find something they have to do. Something obsesses them. Something that if they can't do it, it's going to drive them clean out of their mind."
I'm that guy. I pursue design with an innate passion for my work. The drive stems from years of studying transportation, its structure, and the focus on improving and simplifying what's next.
Gather comprehensive information to inform and inspire the design. This includes conducting market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and emerging trends as well as benchmarking competitors. Explore various sources of inspiration, such as advancements in technology, art, and nature, to fuel creativity and innovation.
Understand the user's needs, experiences, and motivations. This involves immersing myself in their environment to gain deep insights into their lives.
Synthesizing the insights to clearly articulate the problem that needs to be addressed. Here, the key is to analyze the information, identify key patterns, and establish a precise problem statement or point of view.
Generate and explore a multitude of creative concepts. Through sketching, digital rendering, and modeling, translate insights from research and inspiration into tangible design ideas.
Evaluating and validating the design solutions to ensure they meet the desired objectives and user expectations. This often includes various forms of testing such as virtual simulations, physical prototypes, and user feedback sessions.
